Q How many lights are in the Bell Show?
A Each of the bells in the three bell fixture contain 100 lights
Each of the large bells contain 150 lights
Each of the handbells contain 100 lights

There are 2 three bell fixtures, 4 large bell fixtures, and 6 handbells

So there are 2 * 3 * 100 or 600 lights in the 2 three bell fixtures
4 * 150 or 600 lights in the 4 large bell fixtures
6 * 100 or 600 lights in the 6 handbell fixture.

For a total of 600 + 600 + 600 or 1800 lights in the entire bell show

Q How much electricity does the Bell Show require?
A The Bell Show with all 1800 lights on will require about 6 amps of current from a standard household 120V electrical outlet.

Q Can I plug the Bell Show into a standard electrical outlet?
A Yes, the Bell Show can be plugged into a standard household duplex 120V electrical outlet.

Q Do I need a power strip/surge protection?
A No, the Bell Show does not require a power strip or surge protection.

It may be more convenient to plug the Bell Show into a power strip since the Bell Show contains 2 power connections (1 for the Light Controller and 1 for the Sound Controller). Plugging the Bell Show into a power strip will also provide a convenient method for turning the Bell Show on and off. Of course, you will also need additional power outlets for the stereo system used to play the music from the Bell Show.

Q Can the Bell Show be placed on a timer?
A Yes, just make sure the timer can handle the electrical requirements of the Bell Show.

Q Can you stop the Bell Show in the middle and start it over?
A Yes, the Bell Show can be started over at anytime by pressing the RESET switch on the Sound Controller.

Q What comes with the Bell Show?
A The Bell Show comes with 12 bell fixtures (2 three bell fixtures, 4 large bell fixtures, and 6 handbell fixtures), a light controller box, a sound controller box, and a cable to connect the light controller box to the sound controller box.

Q Are any additional items needed to complete or install the Bell Show?
A Yes, you will need to provide mounting hardware for the bell fixtures, extension cords to connect the bell fixtures to the light controller, and a audio cable to connect the sound controller to a stereo system.

Q How can the Bell Fixtures be mounted?
A Each of the Bell Fixtures provides a 1/2" mounting hole. The exact type of mounting hardware you will require depends upon your installation.

Q How does the music for the Bell Show get heard?
A There are two options:

1. You can connect the audio output of the Bell Show Sound Controller to a stereo system. The audio output of the Bell Show Sound Controller is an 1/8" phone jack (the same type of jack as normally used for MP3 player headphones or computer speakers). This audio output jack can be connected to a stereo system so that you can hear the music. If your stereo system requires RCA plugs, you will need an adapter to convert the small jack to the RCA plugs. These adapters are available at most electronics stores.

2. You can connect the audio output of the Bell Show Sound Controller to a low power FM transmitter. The FM transmitter will transmit the music from the Bell Show over standard FM channels so that an FM radio (such as a car radio) can recieve the music and play it. Lights In SA sells an optional FM transmitter kit which includes a cable to connect the Bell Show Sound Controller to the FM transmitter.

Q How do I put the Bell Show together?
A Refer to the Bell Show Assembly Instructions (pdf).

Q Can I arrange the Bell Fixtures in a different order than shown in the Bell Show Assembly Instructions?
A Yes you may arrange the Bell Fixtures in any order you like. However, the sequencing of the show was designed with the arrangement shown in the instructions so we recommend using the same arrangement as shown in the instructions.

Q How much space is required for the Bell Show?
A The Three Bell Fixtures are about 20" tall and 39" wide
The Large Bell Fixtures are about 24" tall and 20" wide
The Handbell Fixture are about 24" tall and 15" wide.

The Bell Show arrangement shown in the Bell Show Assembly Instructions is about 2 feet tall and 25 feet wide.

Q Can the Light Controller be placed outside?
A The Light Controller is weather resistant but it is not weather proof. You can place it outside as long as you ensure that water cannot get inside the Light Controller.

Q Can the Sound Controller be placed outside?
A No, the Sound Controller is not weather resistant or weather proof. It should be placed in a location protected from weather.
